Elden Ring, who has tackled this beast
I just purchased it

Yeah I just borrowed it. It’s true what they say about it being hard

if I were Microsoft, I would seize this opportunity to market the Series X at its current price or hell just cut the price to start undercutting Sony.

The layoffs are never ending. So sad
to keep hearing about more and more. There are probably a lot of devs being forced out of the industry as with everyone doing it there won’t be enough jobs for many of those who’ve lost their jobs to find new ones.

Xbox is probably done at this point, but if they wanted a last hurrah they should bring out a next gen console that is way cheaper than the PS5 Pro just to stir things up on their way out. :funny:

Do not count them out just yet! We have yet to see how day & date CoD on Game pass may affect hardware sales. And if they're gonna make a successor to the Series X/S, that means they're still competing in the console wars

I think the exclusive strategy is a nail in the coffin though. May as well get the Sony console if you can play nearly everything from Xbox on there as well as the big Sony exclusives. I can see Microsoft eventually doing well virtual third party but they are giving up a key differentiator that attracts gamers to buy a given system.

The exclusive strategy? What do you mean?

For the most hardcore CoD fans on console, I think game pass is gonna be a huge draw to Xbox. If you love CoD and prefer playing on a console, why would you pay $70 for the game every year when you can pay for a monthly subscription and get the game instantly plus a bunch of other games?

Bringing out so many first party games on other consoles while not getting their exclusives. Depending how far they go with it, PS could have pretty much everything Xbox gets plus their own exclusives.

Xbox’s President on Handheld Consoles and Subscription Gaming

A relative outsider, Sarah Bond is leading a high-stakes transformation of a company that’s lagging behind Sony and Nintendo.

False alarm until it becomes true, eventually. I doubt Microsoft is going to give up just yet. There's still at least a generation or two left before they fully give up I think.

It wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't went on that massive purchasing spree and spent so much money. I think they could increase sales if they were willing to cut the cost of digital purchases, since physical copies seem to be on the way out.
