Yay, Google is down (only if you live in the southeast of the US)

I thought it was just me at first but nope! Someone somewhere made a mistake and took out Google access to pretty much everything from Virginia to Texas.

So don't freak out if you can't access google, gmail or the myriad of other connected services to Google.

Belated update: It's back up after a downtime of an hour. Convienently five minutes after I mention it of course.

Yeah, it's also email, calenders, office apps (GoogleDocs), Google+, YouTube, their adsense and other CDN's are vital to several businesses, and so on, not just bored people looking for something to do.

I thought it was just search but then it was email and then their advertising networks. Other people began chiming in that other Google products were down too.

Scary how much is relied on from one company. It should make anyone who considers all digital the future to think just how much that could backfire when something vital to you is offline in another part of the world.
