how do you embed a video from youtube?

You just post up the video's number, don't add the 'v=' part, like you did. And, y'know, talk a bit about the movies you like, instead of just posting vids, maybe more folk will respond if you lead the charge of discussion.
As for what my favourite vampire movie is...probably From Dusk Til Dawn, although, y'know, only half of it is a vamp film. The Lost Boys as well. It's a good one for me as it has Doors refs in there as well as the comic-book store stuff, the vamps having that big image of Jim Morrison in their cave hideout was pretty funny, and The Door's Ray Manzarek played organ on Echo and The Bunnymen's cover of 'People are Strange'. I also really dug the Frog brothers working in the comic book store.
and Jack Bauer made a great leader of the vamps, the initiation scenes where they are taking the piss out of Jason Patric are v funny.

I am going to have to go with From Dusk Til Dawn. I saw that when I was 14 and didn't know movies could be like that, starting as a very Tarantino stylish crime thriller then turning into a Vampire/Horror comedy. I really enjoyed both halves of that film, even if the first isn't a Vampire movie at all.

Then, Blade. What can I say about that. Norrington needs to comeback.

Tough question. I guess I have to say Nosferatu ('22). It has ths creepy sickly feeling of eireness that is so far unsurpassed.

My quilty pleasure though is Dracula 2000. Yes its a cheesy hollywood flick, but damnit, I love it! You can tell the makers obviously loved the source material and i think they did an awesome job, taking it to modern times.

Let the Right One In by so far it's not even funny!

I only saw that once, they showed it as a double bill with the Cabinet of DrCaligari at the cinema with a live pianist, I really enjoyed it. I never saw the Herzog/Kinski remake.

I forgot about that one, I have the dvd of the original, and thought it was great.
So, which one are you talking about? The original or the remake? I wanna see the remake at some point, just totally forgot it existed.

The book is a masterpiece and the Swedish movie is fantastic. The remake left me with a very mediocre feeling.

I thought the remake was waaay better than the original because of the performances. Honestly I'd have to say the two Fright Nights are probably my favorite vampire movies. They're fun but yet menacing.

Let the Right One In.

In all seriousness, it's Nosferatu and then Bela Lugosi's Dracula.

Ok, aye, I should have known what one you were talking about, I forgot the remake changed the title to 'Let Me in', I don't know if they went the whole hog with that title and added three little pigs to the story, if they did, just remember to keep the volume down if you are watching that and are a wanted fugitive.

My 2 favorites are Near Dark and Blacula (Campy fun)

Near Dark is a nice choice. Pretty unique for a vampire movie.

I would say Bram Stoker's Dracula with Oldman & Hopkins is my favorite classical intepretation.

The original Fright Night was my 80's fav followed closely by Lost Boys and Salem's Lot (w David soul).

More recent favs include Interview with a Vampire and Let the Right One In.

Really hard to just pick one but it's a toss up between Let The Right One In and George Romero's Martin.

Out of the classics, my faves would be Nosferatu and Dracula (1931).

In recent times, i still enjoy the heck out of The Lost Boys, Dracula (1992) and Interview with a Vampire.

The remake is good movie in a technical point of view. The acting of Kinski is superb. But at the same time, it's e x c r u c i a t i n g l y slow :csad:
