Are Youtube view counts from the USA alone or are they from viewers worldwide?

It never occurred to me to wonder. I always assumed they were worldwide.

if you have a friend here that's out of US, you could try asking them to view your video and see if the count changes?

Id imagine if it is a video that is available worldwide then yes. If it s a geoblocked (how that is still a thing in 2021.....) then no.

That is an odd question given that the most subscribed YouTube channel is an Indian record company. While the most subscribed YouTuber is from Europe (Finland or Sweden).
