Yeah Mantis is interesting in this because she’s been featured in most of the promos and also in the trailers. In GOTG 2 she did fall of the ship with Drax and Gamora and they ALL landed on their feet, even from that crazy height. I think she will fight, she’s been with the Guardians for some time now so she must’ve learned from the others. Hopefully Gamora trained her

Really? I feel like she really didn’t have a chance to show her fighting skills, if any. But she probably will have to. Or at least run from danger because how can they possibly have her in action scenes and she can’t do anything. I could see her running/doing flips/being agile to get away from danger. If she does try to put Thanos to sleep, that will be a major problem because I don’t see it working well.

I mean she’s a Guardian now so it looks like she’s in most of the scenes with Star Lord and Drax etc. She does end up on Titan for the Thanos fight sequence it looks like so she must be apart of the battle. I think she’ll get a small role but definitely beyond a cameo.

She's been promoted more than I expected so maybe she does get almost as much to do as some of the other Guardians (although would still expect overall least).

I wouldn't mind if her fighting skills were a complete surprise to the others, and that would probably be a comic relief moment. There's no telling what kind of education she got from Ego growing up. Maybe he thought having an "assistant" that could beat up somebody else would be amusing. That guy was nuts, so who knows.

She actually had more screentime than I expected. I was also curious as to whether or not she would try her powers on Thanos and I got my answer.

I did not expect Mantis to have a larger role in the movie, but I was surprised.

Her powers proved to be useful. Starlord just had to ruined things.
