Superman “My Adventures with Superman” in the works at Adult Swim & Max

Also, going to need a Superman expert to explain exactly what power unlocked this week.
In the old days, Superman’s invulnerability was chalked up to a pseudo-scientific explanation: “dense molecular structure.” But density is correlated to mass/weight. So by that reckoning, someone as impervious as Superman should be enormously heavy. (Several tons!) Yet in most/all depictions, Supes’ weight is quite normal for his body size.

For this reason, I rather like the notion of a vaguely defined “bio-aura.” It’s immune to the smart-alecky criticisms of science geeks (like me :nerd:).

I’m less of a fan, though, of Supes being able to extend this “aura” of protection beyond his own body. That, it seems to me, is more like the powers possessed by the Green Lanterns — not, traditionally, a Superman power. Maybe not as problematic as “Great Wall of China Vision” (from SIV); but story continuity-wise, it could open an unnecessary can ‘o worms.

Best Lois.
Suck it Gotham Gazette!

Ok I have to call BS on The Gotham Gazette being considered a "step up" from the Daily Planet. No way, no how! Aside from that, the Lois/Vicki stuff was awesome.

Lots of set up this episode. Was great to meet the Irons clan.

Smooth setup for Lex's warsuit, too! Hope Steel builds himself a new, sleeker suit ASAP.

I love that The Aura got a whole spotlight episode. I maintain it's Clark's most underrated power. It's the one that makes so many others make sense!

Sam's an even worse roommate than I'd expected. :hehe:
Gotham is so crime ridden. You know how many stories Lois will write before she's 30?

Rewatching the first season again and I like the role reversal of the Kent’s where usually Jonathan is the more concerned parent and Martha is more of the laidback one between the two in MAWS their roles are reversed. It’s those small and some of the large differences compared to the different Superman media I appreciate but still remaining faithful.

Lil Lois must be protected at all costs.

It was great to see the flashbacks between Sam and Lois. And lil Lois was so adorable. Also, wonderful guy there to give alien tech weapons to Sam. Just, brilliant idea. Especially considering what he clearly was already doing.

It was fun to see some Clark and Jimmy bonding time. Pity Lex had to ruin it.

And look, Kara next week.

Loved this episode!!! Character-centric eps like this are my faves. Nice to get a glimpse of Lois' upbringing with Sam. Even when Sam's portrayed sympathetically (like here and S&L), he still manages to be a s***ty dad. Gotta love the consistency.

Toyman cameo!

The Clark/Jimmy bonding got me a little misty-eyed, ngl.

They set the stage really organically for Clark to meet Kara. I didn't even realize that was what they were setting up until Clark pulled out that communication device at the end. I always really appreciate when they explore Clark's inherent feeling of alienation.

Hyped for next week!!! :mrk:

So, guess that means Damage is totally getting his arms broken.

Haven't watched the series yet but I thought I'd post this and cheer y'all up:

“My Adventures With Superman” Nominated for Television Critics Association Award

That's quite a big deal considering the fact that it's going up against Percy Jackson and x-men '97.

Well, that was a largely fun episode.

Well, the power of ice cream will turn Kara good. Very reminiscent of CW Kara. It was fun seeing Kara with Jimmy. And great to see him lose money as he feeds her.

Cat and Lois together was fun. Even if Cat played up Lois already many insecurities. Props to Cat for considering all the candidates as potential Superman partners, though.

We are totally getting Hank Henshaw cyborgized by next season. A little bit too reoccuring like "Alex".

The drama is a bit overdrawn, but still enjoyable. Of course, quick separation between Lois and Clark will do them some good, I think. I do love Kara's suit under her armor. And it is fun to see the armor with tech to enhance kryptonian powers. Though interesting that Clark seems to be getting more powers, enough to interest Brainiac.

I definitely did not call

Zor-El being our Kryptonian baddie! But crazy Zor-El is my favorite Zor-El so I'm here for it (if that's where we're going - the Primus/scion stuff has me still unsure). Bonus points if it's Cyborg Zor-El. Not sure what's up with the pseudo mind control thing going on with Kara though.

I've never been a fan of the Kara/Jimmy thing but they were admittedly cute here. Sithborg had me worried with his "CW Kara" comment, but thankfully we're getting a properly Kryptonian Kara with more attitude, which will always be my preference.

The Lois/Cat stuff was great. They just need to keep pairing Lois off with her reporter colleagues. Always gold apparently.

Space adventure time!

Tell me I was wrong. :o :o :o

I don't think it is actually Zor-el. Kara did say she and Clark were still the only two Kryptonians. So, either computer Zor-el, or she is referring to another being that raised her.

This season is not as good as last season but so glad they introduced Kara in the way that they did. Brainiac has control of her it appears. I don’t like how they make Lois so insecure. Jimmy is losing all of his money after selling Flamebird. :whoops:
