I only see one actual argument here, so I'll address it.

Goku can't survive in space, or in the sun. Therefore he would have no way to get Cell there.

Cell would have died from 16's nuclear bomb anyway, which was nowhere near as powerful as the sun.

The fact that he is Goku's father is canon.

His appearance is canon.

The fact that he defied Frieza is canon.

Nothing further than that regarding him is canon.

When you are moving a planet you are subject to that planets gravitational pull also. Thus when moving a planet you are moving everything within its gravitational pull which is everything on the planet.
