What was the best DVD commentary you ever heard?

I've only ever been obsessed with one film enough to watch the commentary, and that was Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

But then again, I was literally watching it 3 times a day. I used to recite the movie while watching it.

I watched every single featurette and commentary there was on the extended edition dvd at least twice.

I did really enjoy the commentaries tho, especially all The Hobbits telling stories from set.

I should really rate that movie higher when i'm naming my top 10... I forget how much I loved it.

Hollywood approaches you to write a draft of your choosing for a movie, and give you one year as deadline. What genre? And what would you consider proper inspiration for the story you will write?

It'd be fantasy, but more of an allegorical fantasy. Think something along the lines of 'Where Dreams May Come'. A journey to save someone you love, set in imaginative settings, interesting supporting characters and both intellectual and physical trials.

But for me i've always wanted to write a story in which the main characters are male and female, but are not overtly romantically bonded... a story of the power of simply loving someone, not the usual one of being in love with someone. Soul mates.

And that inspiration comes from myself and my best friend, who have a really deep bond that feels that way.

So many. I love them so much.

I'd say top 10:

1. The final battle in Two Towers - still the greatest experiance I've ever had at the cinema.

2. Sam's Speeches - 'I made a promise Mr Frodo', 'There's good in this world, and it's worth fighting for', 'I can still carry you!' Etc.

3. Pretty much any moment with the ring wraiths - they were so terrifying! Especially love Aragorn fighting a circle of them when Frodo is stabbed with the morgul blade.

4. Pippin's song/Faramir's last ride in ROTK

5. Gandalf falling to his 'death' and the subsequent look of grief on Frodo's face. I couldn't stop crying... I think I was still crying about it when the credits rolled

6. Gandalf vs Sauramon

7. 'I am no Man!'

8. Boromir's death. Epic.

9. Gandalf's speech to Frodo in the mines - Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment. Even the very wise cannot see all ends. My heart tells me that Gollum has some part to play yet, for good or ill before this is over. The pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of many.

10. The forming of the fellowship - 'I will take it' 'You have my sword', 'and my axe' etc.

I also love the whole prolouge at the beginning of FOTR. And reuniting with Bilbo. And the fight with the cave troll in the mines. And reuniting with Gandalf. And Merry and Pippins time with the Uruk-hai. And the tree ents vs sauramon. And any moment to do with Merry and Pippin and weed (like the scene in TT's extended edition where they find barrels of weed and loads of food after the ent battle).

I could go on and on

Pool table after closing in a pub with the duty manager. That was fun.

I think I have enough of both. Let's not be greedy now.

What's your biggest regret and why?

There have been a few instances in my life where I feel like I lost my integrity. Sexual situations that made me feel like I was 'easy' cause I just let a guy use me, drug experiances where I ended up looking back on myself and seeing something degrading and self loathing, drunken nights where I've really gone beyond embarrasing etc.

I used to have so much integrity I got complimented on it. I was a 20 year old virgin, the one hold out in my group of friends when it came to drugs, and just genuinely an honest and moral person with self respect.

I kind of lost that along the way somewhere. And I really really wish I hadn't, cause I miss that innocence and clarity.

I'm working on getting it back

Prematurely balding I think. The smaller a guy is, the bigger I feel.

Not seriously no (thanks to the girls!), tho I did go through a pretty heavy tomboy stage when I was in my pre/early teens.

If a guy was really sporty or a big sports fan i'd probably not be into him, cause i'm just not. Also, if they are really into cars and don't stop talking about them all date (had that). Oh and massively religious would be a deal breaker.

Nah, I think most people do regret it. In fact, i'm sure I was watching something the other day on TV where someone was saying that most people who survive suicide attempts say that after the action they regretted it, but it was too late to take it back.
