1989 Taco Bell promotion

Shadow, if you've still got leftover pizza from 1992, I'll call the authorities myself.

The only things I definately remember from fast food promotion was from 'Returns' onward.

The 'Returns' Happy Meals...the 'Forever' glass collector's cups...and yeah, that 'B&R' grand prize to win the Clooney Batmobile. But don't lie...you all tried to do it just as I did. I can't ever remember how many mexican pizza lunches I went through to try and get that bad boy. I mean yeah it was the Clooney version but c'mon...you KNOW you would've taken that car if you had won it.

I also remember when 'Subway' did a Batman Promotional contest like a year or so after 'B&R' had come out...And of course McDs also had Happy Meals for 'Batman: TAS' and then Taco Bell did the same thing for 'Batman Beyond.'

*sigh* nothing goes together quite like Batman and Country-Wide, Corporate Manufactured Obesity.

Ya I know right, making money, selling toys, making America more obese than it already is.

hahahaha. Youd better call the guys in white coats!

No, but I do have the box. Ill try getting this stuff up soon.

Ya cause McDonalds knew B&R was gonna flop so they pulled out.

So true. :funny: :funny:

Ha. Wait 'till you see a couple of the things I have from the Returns promotion. Anyone remember when McD's offered Pizza? ;)

I remeber McD's selling pizza. Right now, I live in NC & I went with my dad to TN one time since he was just spending few days out of town. We stop at a McD's there & I couldn't believe they has pizza, when my home didn't. And I thought the pizza they were selling has nothing to do with BR. Hmmm....

brings back memories i love batman in a non gay way.

The 4 plastic travel cups.

The hanging mobile for displaying the 4 cups.

Wow, Taco Bell has been around for that long? I noticed in the 3rd pic, the first cup is a direct copy of Neal Adams. I wonder who did the art for the cups.

On an interesting note, that first cup that you pointed out is based on the last drawing in Batman #251 "The Joker's Five Way Revenge" which introduced the modern version of the joker.

I thought this would be interesting to share, and nostalgic for those of us who can remember.

My original Cinnamon Twist wrapper. These were introduced in 1989 with this movie.

To my knowledge, there is only one thing that I am missing. It was a yellow plastic banner that read "Try New Cinnamon Twists" and featured the Bat logo.

awesome. i loved the cinnamon twists. i still have a few of those cups and all of the returns ones.

That is cool...

Neal Adams art turned into Michael Keaton (correct me if I am wrong)

you are correct:up:

Has anyone seen or heard about a life-size (or near to it) posterboard stand-up figure of Michael Keaton AS Batman from Taco Bell? I last saw an image of this figure on a brewery website as an April Fool's webcam prank. He appeared in several locations around the brewery.

I know some of the Taco Bells had the standard WB Keaton standee as a part of their displays.
