2007 San Diego Comic Con

*****. Get married at Comic-Con.

If we have time, we'll cross the border after the ceremony (it's at 3pm and the reception starts at 8pm) and take some wedding pictures outside the convention center with a bunch of people in superhero costumes.:oldrazz: :o

You shoulda got married there. That'd totally rock, despite what Dodge may think.

i think more than dodge would think that was lame....

itd only be if you really wanted your wedding to be a spectacle

Why not? Is that not the point of a big wedding?

I mean, people WANT weddings to get married. Many like big weddings, because they're big deals. This would just be bigger.

We're having a regular wedding, we just think it would be cool to have some pictures of us in full wedding attire along with some stormtroopers, klingons and stuff like that.

If you see a bride and groom outside the Con on saturday it will probably be my fiancee and me. :)

now you know that might be cool. actually getting married there would be stupid. congratulations on being cool and not stupid.

Getting married there does seem a little tacky...not as bad as getting married at Wal-Mart though. The pictures are a great idea though

Getting married at a Wal-Mart leaves one to believe you lack a soul.

I avoid Wal-Mart. Everytime i walk in there...i feel dirty. I prefer Target, only in reason that the one nearby employs hot girls and puts them in little red shirts and tight khakis

Any how, anyone have any interest in meeting up at the con? get a group together and go grab dinner or something?

sounds good to me.....since they've posted the programming on the site im trying to plan out my days...most of what i want to see is on thur and fri but im not opposed to meeting and grabbing some food and booze

Outback, bah... Dick's Last Resort! That's the place!

But, I AM a tourist!

the key is not to act like a tourist. it's like crashing a party, just act like you belong there and buy the first round. no one, and i mean no one likes tourists in their city, much less a bunch of comic book freaks, trekkies, and browncoat tourists

Someone pick this up for me.

Thanks.

I'm up for it. PM Elijya, I'm sure he'd be interested in your invite.

Oh you are completely wrong there. San Diego LOVES tourists, especially the comic book convention. There is talk of bringing it to LA and San Diego fought it because tourists, especially the con, bring in a huuuuuge amount of income and attention to the city.
