It's inevitable that 2017 will have Hugh Jackman's last turn as Wolverine before he hangs up the claws and while there will be a break in 2018 for X-Force, the following year is absolutely going to require somebody new in the role.

Emile Hirsch is my top choice since he has the rugged look down, he'll only be 34 when the film comes out and he's only 5'7 which is close to Logan's actual height in the comics.

I doubt it.

People really need to stop predicting when hugh jackman is going to quit playing wolverine.

Remember when everyone thought he wouldn't be In APocalypse.

There is no telling what the 2018 film will be.Gambit is more likely.Nothing has been said on X-Force since 2013 mean gambit has star, writer, and producers.
There is also possibilty of X-Men/FF film being 2018 film.My bet is if the 2018 film isn't X-Men/FF depending on how reaction Is to FF it will be Gambit.

He will have done 8 X-men movies by 2017, not counting his first class cameo so the chances are more likely to start decreasing rather then increasing that will be actually come back

Wolverine recast in 2019?
This thread is a sh...
Logan in comic looks like man in his 50's.
Jackman isn't even 50.

This series is not trying to slow down so the last thing they would do in 2017 is retire the actor that got the top billing of their top grossing X-Men film to date.

i ain't sure jackman is tied to this franchise so while i am sure the producers would keep jackman for aslong as they can i think its more his decision that will effect what happens then theirs, and he certainly doesn't need the money or the job offer so he has to be willing to come back.

and i think people take him keep coming back for granted and think he just says he may not return just to get more money out of fox but you have to realize that soon he will have done 8 movies and he clearly wants to go out on a high with the character and he knows at some point he will have to stop.

he will also have done most of the major X-men storylines by then including his own solos which i am guessing old man logan will likely be the 3rd because its a well known story like japan and his origin.

I don't even know why this is an issue.

This is a film series about mutation and evolution, featuring characters capable of regeneration, cloning, shapeshifting and other metamorphoses.

The perfect set of conditions in which to introduce a new, younger Wolverine when Jackman finally steps aside. Maybe a cloned 'son' (Daken?) who becomes the new Wolverine in honour of his father?

In the meantime, an older and more craggy Wolverine fits with the Old Man Logan version, and the Gambit spin-off shows the beginnings of a shift in focus from Wolverine as the central character.

Speaking of clones I'd rather like to see X-23 in live action.

I always thought the hot-tempered guy from the movie Trainspotting would be a badass Wolverine.

He's a runt, just like Wolverine should be.

Just needs to pack on 20 pounds of muscle.

Hi!

Fredrik from Stockholm here...
I don't know if you read Empire Magazine - anyway I have a question about somehing I read there...

In the paper issue december 2014 "X-men: Days of future past" was reviewed in the section called Re.View. It says that there are "two-and-a-half Wolverine" spin-off movies. I thought there were only two...

Does anyone have any idea what the reviewer means by this?

Thanks in advance for any answer! :yay:

Daniel Radcliffe would be perfect, he is a good actor and fits the appearance and height of Wolverine from the comics.
