That's not really a lot to have left over for an entire month. I guess maybe it is to people here because they're mostly younger with part-time jobs or whatever, but really, its not. $700 doesn't go that far when you really think about it. Unless he's putting a lot in savings and just has $700 left to actually spend.

Your right it's not alot,I make your basic 35-40K a year like most people,I'm also not married with children either..there are people not much older than me who make twice as much as I do,but they have wife,kids,2 cars,house ect...adds up quick.

Yeah, $700 is enough one person, but even stuff like going out on a date or just seeing a movie adds up quickly.
