Wow these are really cool, Dr Manhatten actually looks like Billy Crudop, Rorshach looks so cool, Comedian looks Badass and Silk Spectre looks mighty fine. Great new Watchmen pics.

Looking at that I completely forgot Dr Manhatten was CGI, until DrStrange said he 'actually looks like Billy Cudrup', that is astounding work.

hate to be a buzzkill but manhattan looks like he overdid it on the mascara.

Agree with StarvingArtist. It's truly strange how they approached the black under his eyes in such a blatant way. It really looks like makeup, not some side-effect from his accident and subsequent reconstruction.

Also, is Rorschach's scarf made from terrycloth? His mask and scarf feel a bit too much like they're fan-made. The jacket and hat are cool, though.

These are more or less the same as on the EW-cover, I believe and they do look kinda cheap or photoshop'ed in 5 minutes. Dont think Manhattan will look like that in the final movie. Does look like a fan-manip.

Same with Rorschach as well as the wallpapers on the official site. Not the best grapics I've ever seen, so I doubt it'll look like that in the movie.

Did Manhattan also have eyebrows in the comic?

Dr. Manhattan in the graphic novel has black around his eyes. If it wasn't there in the movie, people would complain he looks different. With the black there, people complain it looks like mascara.

How should it look, if not like it looks on the cover?

I say, stop pointing out the imperfections in everything and focus more on the positives. :yay:

..these covers are great! very detailed!

Looks a little too crisp and painted on, to be honest. Something softer around the edges would work well for me.

I'm not saying get rid of it all together, but just make it look less like makeup.

Is there anything to the different hand positions on the four clock faces on these covers, or am I desperately trying to turn this into an ARG?

Dr. Manhattan: 6 o'clock

Silk Spectre: 8 o'clock

Rorschach: 3 o'clock

The Comedian: 9 o'clock

If the numbers were only 3, 6, and 9, then that would be obvious. But with the 8 also...I just don't get it.

this are great looking covers.

but no Nightowl? :(

Doctor Manhattan has eyebrows in the comics.

And also I don't think you people realize what "mascara" is. Mascara goes on your eyelashes. You mean eyeliner, not mascara.
