Really, really tough decision. Cameron owned the 80s, in my opinion. So it comes down to Aliens and Terminator for me, though if pressed I'd have to go with the latter.

for me McTiernann and Cameron were the main men in the 80's for action cinema but Geroge P Cosmatos did some good work as well,i voted Die Hard

Rambo II had some kickass action as did Cobra and Rambo II isn't a bad movie just not as good as the first IMO.....As for Cobra,well it has it's momentst:

Well, yeah, the action scenes were pretty good. However, that the doesn't mean the movies were good. They were really bad. Especially when you compare it to its competition. In `85, Schwarzenegger, starred in Commando. That movie is WAY better than Rambo II.

Well, yeah, the action scenes were pretty good. However, that the doesn't mean the movies were good. They were really bad. Especially when you compare it to its competition. In `85, Schwarzenegger, starred in Commando. That movie is WAY better than Rambo II.

Not really. RoboCop is the better movie. Road Warrior is an AWESOME movie because it's one of the few action films thats actually, you know, relevant. Fighting for gasoline. Does that sound, I don't know, familiar?! HOWEVER, it's also the movies flaw. Fighting for gasoline (or survival) is all that movie was really about. EVERYONE is gonna disagree but George Miller had more to say with Thunderdome than with the first two Mad Max movies.

Commando is a dumb but highly entertaining.

Commando, is one of the funniest, gory action movies ever....the epitamy of 80's action. He throws a circular saw blade and cuts the top of a guys head off for christ sake.
