Okay I completely missed this reference the first time I watched the first episode. It was made more noticeable on the second episode and then I noticed it now as I'm rewatching the first episode. What is the deal with this comic book series? Is there more to it? Is NY gonna get nuked cause that Godzilla looking thing shows up? :)

Discuss.

Oh yeah, anyone who actually has pictures of the 9th Wonders comics, please post them.

9th Wonders are written by Isaac Mendez, the future painter
all of the Heroes characters are characters in it
that's all i know

Yeah, the guy must be drinking heroin at that point. It's just inconceivable for him publish a fresh comic book in under a month's time... unless the books are, like... sitting in his file cabinet and he hasn't found them yet...

Or maybe Hiro leaves the comic book for himself to find in his time travelling.

Then again, we don't know how far into time he can predict things. He might've done that comic sometime ago.

True, it could be years old, but getting it published? Why does that seem like something that would have come up before? Granted he's only been in about three scenes, but it feels really 'left field.'

Oh, I know what you mean. However, we saw Hiro looking at a few panels that he was working on at his studio, so in the next few episodes it'll probably be touched on more. Maybe Hiro will dig up some older issues of the 9th Wonders that will show the other characters.

Well, if you remember, Nikki's son was reading an issue of 9th Wonders, and Hiro had a 9th Wonders screen saver at work. Meaning, it must at least be a rather popular indi comic. Isaac probably publishes it on the side for extra money.

Good catch, didn't notice those.

Very good... I forgot that I noticed the Son with a 9th Wonders comic... I forget why it stood out to me...

This is a great show, btw... thanks for helping me clear that up...

Yah...you don't drink heroin.

maybe it's just the effect of drinking heroin

maybe he also huffs spray paint for the comics

I dunno....we know Isaac is an artist. And....well.....us artists could use all the work....so, him publishing an independent comic (which is why his address was in the book, many independt comic companies have those) makes sense.

Especially it being about the future....since Isacc can see the future.

Now....the REAL question is.....where the **** was his brain?

Seriously....where the ****....

Here's the PICs for you guys of the screen caps on my Virginia Tech webpage.

COVERS OF ALL THE COMICS SHOWN THUS FAR.

COMIC ISSUE #14 COVER
Things to notice. The Helix Symbol appears twice on the cover, as well as the publisher is "Helix Comic Group"

COMIC ISSUE #9
Things to notice. The Cover contains a picture of a long Blonde Haired character with sharp claws, teeth and looking very menacing. Also the symbol above the Issue # where Issue 14 had the Helix symbol is replaced by a picture of Uluru. Also during the scene where DL finds this comic of Micahs, he tells Micah something about reading comics when he was a kid than says in a growling voice "I am Uluru the Invincible".

COMIC ISSUE #??
Things to notice. Uluru on the cover with a hero on a cliffside. Two bubbles of importance are on here. The heroe’s bubble says after many screen captures "Nobody believed me... now i'm humanity's LAST HOPE"
The bubble from Uluru is much harder to decipher, however what I have been able to is "Who DARES to [two words/2-3 letters space 3-4 letters] I AM ULURU the invincible!"
Also the words "I FOUGHT ULURU" are on the cover of this Issue #? However the Issue Number is unclear. Anyone know the Issue # or the missing words LET ME KNOW!
