A couple questions about Air Force tech school...

For those who have been there or have had some experience -

First off, I am not enlisting but I have a friend who is considering it.

I have a couple questions. First of all, would I still be able to keep in touch with him via social networking sites such as Facebook and Youtube? I know that Tech School gives more freedoms than Basic Training, but I am not sure as to how much freedom they are given.

Also, can he bring his Xbox 360 and get on Xbox LIVE when he has free time? I know that the courses are rigorous and time consuming, but a little bit on the weekends should be fine.

When he is not working he should be able to use his computer and gaming systems. If he has a laptop he will have to secure it in his locked closet, wall locker or something similar... that's all. Other than that, he should be able to keep in touch with you. I don't know about the internet connection in his room because when I went through tech school (a looong time ago), I didn't have a laptop... so maybe someone else here who went through tech school more recently can provide you that info.

But keeping in touch with him shouldn't be a problem at all in tech school.
