But they weren't. Dany was trying to get details about Missandei's sexual experience with Greyworm -that's what the embarrassed smiles were about.
Omg why do dany and jon have to be linked romantically?? Like i defo see it going down that route. Why cant the writers just let them be like friends tho. They dont have to shove romance into it
Ship bias regardless, it is weird that the idea of a political marriage hasn't been brought up yet, given how she dumped Dario for that very reason.
It was brought up last season because she was coming to Westeros this season. She even says with a war she's going to need to marry someone to make an alliance and that's the best way to do it.Well the political marriage was brought up last season, and it makes no sense to bring it up now when she's declared war on the Iron Throne and is trying to secure her kingdom.
At a time when she needs allies and when Jon needs allies and when shes trying to find an amicable way to get the North on her side it makes a lot of sense for her or Jon to propose a marriage.
Tho honestly I expect Davos or Tyrion to be the first to consider it. I think Jon's too shy to ask her. Dany probably would ask him, but I think the show will makes it a lighthearted moment by having Tyrion or Davos randomly propose the idea followed by Dany and Jon looking awkward.
Well I never said anything about them living happily ever after, that's a whole different discussion in and of itself. The season is halfway done, but she's just arrived in Westeros as well and recently started her campaign. Plus, she hasn't received any formal marriage proposals yet either.
Jon Snow might be "king of the north" but he's still known to Westeros as a bastard as well. Daenerys is still a person of high birth. So it's probably less prudent to form a political marriage to Jon Snow anyway.
So realistically, the political marriage discussion just hasn't come up. Jon doesn't seem like the best marriage candidate on paper either. I get that everyone is shipping this pairing, but I highly doubt the story ends with them living happily ever after in wedded bliss. Game of Thrones is not that type of show.
I was there when the colonel injured his jaw at the battle of the big beaver
I just feel it takes away from the awkwardness of Jaime and Cersie if Jon and Dany hook up. Clearly incest is looked down upon even in that society and now that Cersie is openly flaunting her relationship with Jaime, they should seem more at odds with everyone else. I get they are attracted now, because neither of them know. Once Jon knows he has too much of Ned and his honor in him to do something like that.

Right now, Dany's at war. The North is the biggest province and it doesn't matter than Jon is a bastard because the Northerners don't care seeing as how they named him King. I think being King outweighs the fact that you are a bastard.
Jon isn't bending the knee and with the loss of her allies Dany will probably want to solidify things with him more. Which is why I'm thinking Dany already wanted marriage and hinted at it in the cave but didn't say it outright.
Well, I didn't get that from the conversation at all. I acknowledge your arguments, but it still seems inadvisable that she'd enter into a political marriage with a bastard regardless.
Dany intends to take the Iron Throne. As Queen she would be able to remove his bastard name and declare him a Stark. Stannis told Jon that was possible when he offered Jon Winterfell. Even if Dany doesnt know that its possible, Tyrion or Varys would know its possible.
Whether Jon and Dany actually marrying in the end, or wanting to, is a different matter. I'm not endorsing any of it.
But it seems like the suggestion of it is something that should have come up. It isn't a perfect solution, and perhaps one or both parties would find it unsavory and reject it, but it is something that their respective advisors would think up and suggest.
Well...I said it was supposed to be an implication, not a direct statement. If you listen to what she says, how she says it then maybe you could make it out. Maybe not.Well, I didn't get that from the conversation at all. I acknowledge your arguments, but it still seems inadvisable that she'd enter into a political marriage with a bastard regardless.
Even if that's the case, it still doesn't make Jon the first and most ideal choice. Also, no formal marriage proposal or offer either. He wasn't there to make a proposal of a political marriage.
It'd be interesting to see what Sansa, Arya, and the Northern lords would think of a Jon/Dany hookup/marriage. Especially since all of them (well we don't know Arya's thoughts on it right yet) already don't trust Dany anyway.
Especially if the truth about Jon's heritage becomes public as well.
