Abbie Cornish...the Next Bond Girl?...!!!!!!!!

As “Bond 22” gears up under new helmer Marc Forster, one of the biggest unanswered questions is which lucky lady will be taking up the mantle as the next famed “Bond Girl.” Well, thanks to a fellow countrywoman, we may now have an answer.

MTV News caught up with Aussie actress Rose Byrne (”Sunshine,” FX’s “Damages”), and asked if she had been contacted about the roll (Byrne’s name was previously batted around for “Casino Royale”). While declaring she wasn’t involved with “22,” Byrne exclaimed, “I think Abbie Cornish’s got it.”

While Cornish — a fellow Australian — has been rumored for the part since earlier this year, Byrne’s utterance lends extra credence to the story given the pair’s friendship. If true, Cornish’s appearance in “Bond” would mark the star’s first major break outside her home country, where she has made numerous acclaimed appearances in Australian television and film.

I've never seen her in anything before. In fcat, if i was walking down the street and she walked past me, i'd think she was just some nobody. Be as that may, i'll reserve judgement on what the elements of her character actually entails; then decide if i like her or not.

She's pretty un-curvy for a Bond girl. Maybe the film makera (if true) are going the whole Hanes route..or whatever the underwear commercial was..you know the one where 'real woman' have curves'. Gone are the days of ubber hot Bond girls..maybe..?

She looks like a less alien Amanda Seyfried...a typical chick you'd see out somewhere. I see that type at work everyday.

Anyways, I think she'd be a good choice. She isn't as beautiful as Eva Green, but who knows.

I really don't care who plays the bond girl, as long as they aren't well known. When the Halle Barry's of the world play Bond roles, **** hits the fan.

Eva isn't naturally stunning either. The only time I thought she looked truly beautiful is that short scene of her in the bathroom, with no make-up. Otherwise, it was her character that allured me toward her, not her looks (though big ta-tas do help).

I don't about this Cornish girl, though I did have the same doubts about Eva Green when she was first announced. Neither girls I thought were pretty.

If this is true, I'm sure the makeup department will make Cornish gorgeous.

Still, I'd rather have Sienna Miller or Rose Byrne (love her in Damages!)
