ABC Under Fire For Cross-Dressing Comedy 'Work It'

the show looks like absolute crap and IGN's review was hilarious. they bashed the show every which way possible. almost enough to make me want to watch it to see just how bad it is, but i won't.

but i do admit, that GLAAD needs to get off their damn high horse. i really hate how in the last 15-20 years, the PC police haven't gotten more and more annoying. they complain about the stupidest, most minor things. if you don't like it, don't watch it! it's that simple. just don't get all high and mighty in wanting to convince others to do the same.

6.1 million viewers last night.

I've got 6.1 million people to kil-- er, eliminate! ..... This could take me awhile.

Its to be expected. Now you just have to wait and see if those 6.1 million people stick around for the next episode.

You won't be doing it alone my friend. I'll take East Coast, you take West.

Is 6.1 million a good number for ratings? I mean that sounds like a lot of people watched this crap and I admit I watched some of it out of curiousity and boy does it suck that the laugh track makes it even more embarrasing.

It's one of the worst debuts of the year and has debuted lower than other shows that are already canceled.

Well, in any case, the premiere has come and gone and hopefully the show will piss off sooner rather than later.

What we should be worried about now is Rob Schneider's new disaster on CBS....... or perhaps it should be titled "A half hour of a guy having misunderstandings about Mexicans". Because that's basically all it is.

^ Ah yes I've been hearing about Rob's new sitcom, I guess now we had an option of renting his movies but now we're forced to see him on TV for free.

It's on at the same time as that show featuring those folks from Pawnee, Indiana. I'll be watching those folks from Pawnee.

As everyone should be.

And that's the thing. ABC was so on the right track comedy-wise... Modern Family, Cougar Town, The Middle, Happy Endings.... then this season comes along.

Last Man Standing - Waste of Tim Allen's capabilities
Man Up - Nobody cared
Work It - The only reason people cared is because it looks offensively terrible and they want it gone

The only success ABC has had comedy-wise this season is Suburgatory.

I like the actors but I find Suburgatory very lame. Most of the humor and gags are really forced and unbelievable. Growing up in a Texas suburb, the show is pretty inaccurate and it constantly contradicts itself.

Also I don't get why the girl is upset. They moved to a suburb that is basically right outside the city. She's old enough to take a bus or train there and hang out.

Not to mention the lead actress is totally trying to pawn off Emma Stone's act as her own . Her whole character even fills ripped right out of Easy A.

Is that even going to come back?

What sucks is one of the awful sitcoms took Better With You off ABC's schedule. That was a great show.

From TVLine:
Work It‘s “meh” premiere ratings landed “right in the middle” of expectations, Lee said.
So... what he's basically saying is that they expected this to do **** numbers on it's opening night, but decided to pick it up anyway......

**** you, Paul Lee. :o

Dropped a full million viewers this week...

Not. Nearly. Enough. :cmad:
