Is anyone else planning to check this out? It looks very reminiscent of CBS' Harper's Island. The premiere episode airs wednesday, April 28th, at 10pm.

AND SAM NEILL IS IN IT!!! :applaud

Ive got it set to record. It looks very interesting indeed

I heard that this show has a lot of just people talking. True? Untrue?

I loved Harper's Island but forgot to watch. Before I hulu it, how was it?

I liked the show!

" zeke" is off the island..and is in happy town..awesome

LOL! Took me a moment to remember who "Zeke" was. A lot has happened since that night in the woods with the "bearded" wonder.

I watched to the first break then turned and never looked back. I might catch this on Hulu.

I thought it was fairly decent...Looking forward to the continuation of the mystery that is "The Magic Man".

I recorded this last nite started this and promptly deleted after like 5 minutes. I dont have time for another show now I watch way to many

I totally forgot this was last night

I like it. Sort of Twin Peaks lite. I'll keep watching it for a while.

It was an ok premiere.

Is this a mini series like Harper Island, or a full series?

Its kind of slow moving but some of the characters are interesting.

The only part of the ep that really annoyed me was the climax at the Sherrif's office. Its clear the sherrif was losing his ****, and the only thing his son could do was bang on the door yelling, "Pop, pop, pop..." Least he could have done was kick the door down.

I'm pretty sure it's a Harper's Island-style mini-series. And yeah, I'm still trying to figure out why the Sheriff's son didn't break the door down.

Ratings:
In series-premiere news, ABC’s very odd Happy Town was not so happy at 10 p.m., with just 5.23 million viewers (#3) and a 1.7/ 5 among adults 18-49 (#2).

This will probably turn into a mini since ABC already had cut the 13 episodes order to 8 episodes and its premire is already "bad" for ABC. It wont get picked up for a 2nd season.

What's wrong with ABC? heh I think they just got lucky with Lost...they are trying really hard to get another winning show with that formula and just not able to do it.

Flashforward is improving quite a bit though, I must say.

I hope this isn't just a mini series. I really liked the premiere episode and would like to see it develop over the years.

It's good to see Amy Acker on a show again. I really liked her in Angel.

So is Sam Neil's character (I don't know the name) corrupting the people with his touch? It seemed that way when he gave the wedding ring back to the sheriff and the way he touched the old woman at the boarding house.

Merritt Grieves

I caught like the last 15 minutes of it. then looked it up on Hulu, i may return to Happy Town. But I have one question...

Won't you take me to FUNKY TOWN?!?!?

This looks promising and yeah it does remind me of Harper's Island although I enjoyed the premiere of HP more than this. I will continue to watch it though.

Eh, I'll only keep watching for Sam Neill.

This, like many other shows this television season fail to give good pilots. There's just way too much crammed in. I've given up on FlashForward, V, and maybe this because they all (the latter, not yet the former) fail to give each character the right amount of introduction. There was like 20 characters in Happy Town that we know nothing about.

I probably feel this way because I've been spoiled by Lost. Never again will a show reel me in within the first 5 minutes like Lost did.
