Just saw the pilot and while the premise of father and daughter moving from gritty realistic city to the happy-go-lucky suburbs is a bit boring and done to death...

... I actually liked this show.

Alot.

While other series have their cynical teenagers being emo and whiney this one does not. Its a fish out of water-story done right :yay:

Also: Jane Levy is gorgeous!

It was an alright show and I'll give it a try. I always thought Cheryl Hines was cute but that first episode made her the ultimate MILF!

I enjoyed it and knew I would just from the trailers. Glad it opened to good ratings.

It was OK. Better than any other of the new comedies like New Girl, 2 Broke Girls etc. It's not as good as Awkward on MTV though which I have seen it compared to.

The show is good but I like New Girl and 2 Broke Girls more.

I missed this tonight, is it on hulu?

Should be Thursday.

That blond barbie housewife is sooo hitting on the single dad...maybe....

The Tessa/Dalia stuff tonight was hilarious. Those two should have more screentime together.

Yeah, I'll have to say I too didn't think it was going to be any good. I watched a little of it last night and will check out the other episodes on On Demand.

This was pretty bad. The father and daughter weren't convincing as former NYers at all. The show feels more awkward than anything.

I got into this around the seventh ep and worked my way up since before Christmas. This show has gotten really good.

Loved last night's Dahlia versus Tess by proxy. Calling her plan for revenge making her lesbian organic catering get bad reviews. lol

I like this show a lot. I think the first couple of episodes were stronger than the later ones, but the over the top making fun of suburbia is great. And Cheryl Hines's short skirts every week don't hurt, either. She's got a great body for being almost 50.

stupid basketball made them push this episode back until this very moment....

i really like Alicia Silverstone, but this show needs to spend more time on Tessa (or Lisa) than George.

They need Larry David to guest star as Dallas' first husband, who nobody really talks about anymore ...
