I found the pilot very pedestrian and it lost me very quickly. I just didn't really seem to buy Jack the Ripper or HG Wells in the 1800s or in present day.
I knew H.G.'s granddaughter's hubby was gonna be up to no good but I did not see the twist coming on the Ripper's side of things. I'm glad they didn't kill the doctor straight off, I like the actress. It was also good that they got things out of the way with straight way with H.G. and Jane, unusual move but a good choice for this show IMO.
I watched the first episode. Liked it a lot.
However, I don't see it can last very long if the whole premise is about JTR trying to force the key for the time machine from HGW...
I have to give credit to H.G., taking Jane on their first date in the Time Machine is going to be hard for anyone else to top.
And so the evil sister of evil fiancee was supposed to tell Jack about his son. Interesting, what are Jack and H.G. destined to do and what can they not do?
'Time After Time' Canceled at ABC
The Kevin Williamson time-travel drama aired only five episodes and will be replaced by 'Match Game' on Sundays for the time being.
Another one bites the dust.
In a TV season in which broadcast networks have expressed patience and an unwillingness to cancel, ABC has done the latter. The Disney-owned network has canceled Kevin Williamson's time travel drama Time After Time after five low-rated episodes.
So it appears there are 7 more episodes. epguides has release dates for them, so if they actually did air, it must have been like at 3 a.m., though they were never available through On Demand or on ABC's web site. Anyways, you can track them down on the web if you have a care. I watched the first one tonight.
