Anyone seen this musical using Beatles songs?

[YT]7VTPSL9TcJc[/YT]

It's "Hair" meets "Rent" using Beatles music, But all-n-all I liked this movie.

I love the Beatles and seeing there songs done this way was kinda cool IMO.

If you've seen it tell us what you thought of it.:yay:

i enjoyed this movie, good story and i like how they got the names for the characters from beatles songs.

Wasnt a fan of the story but...

It was incredibly creative and well put together. It flowed really nice and the visuals and songs were very fun. Especially liked With A Little Help From My Friends.

Aw, I loved this movie so much. I just think a lot of people got confused with the story, and thought the characters were based upon those in The Beatles, but they're bringing the songs to life, not the songwriters. And also, Jim Sturgess has an amazing voice.

I wanted to see more of the plot...i did not like the fact that there was a song every 3 minutes...just give me a few songs that flow well with the movie.

i didnt enjoy the trippy songs either. I loved "All you need is love", "lucy in the sky of diamonds", "across from universe" that hold my hand song & strawberry fields forever song and my favorite was
"hey jude"

Absolutely loved this movie.

the music was excellent, of course, we're talking Beatles songs here
the arrangements were acceptable, while some were very good, others left much to be desired
the acting was so, so, not that bad, but could have been worse
the singing was hit or miss, and missed most of the time, guess we have to thank the creator of Pro-Tools for helping cast untalented actors in more demanding roles that their actually capable of
the story was mediocre, predictable and dull
overall, two middle fingers

I loved this movie, I have it on DVD.
I saw it on bluray at a friends house, it looks really really nice in hd

All in all, I loved this movie.

However, I enjoyed the first half so much more than the second half. The music and choreography were amazing.

im a huge beatles fan. i found the songs as interpreted in the movie were pretty hit and miss. same with the story. it had some cool moments and some cool visuals, but at other times it was just entirely mediocre and lackluster. overall, the idea was admirable, but i think everything after the idea could have been better executed...and frankly, the beatles deserved better.

I've been meaning to see the film for ages, but it's either work or school that's been in the way. With the praise I've found here, I'll rent this tomorrow and report back. :)

See it for the music, see it for the visuals, not so much for everything else

don't get me wrong, I lovethe film, and own it (brother hasn't returned it) but it does suffer from have way too much crammed into it.

I adored it! In particular I loved the "I am the Walrus" scene and the end credits.

Best end credits ever!
