I like all those Cap scenes (and I agree with Kedrell that the Lemurian Star sequence deserved it most), but here I'm torn between the Raid 2 and John Wick. The Raid 2 sequences are more elaborate and physically impressive to be sure, but the John Wick sequence was just so stylish and smooth. Of course I nominated both so I brought this quandary onto myself.

I'm terrible for not having seen The Raid 2 or John Wick yet, so I almost feel like my choice is invalid

I voted for Snowpiercer. It would have been at the top of my initial list but I was sort of hoping there would be one vote for Action Sequence and one vote for Fight Scene... cause they can be such different things.

But yeah, was definitely my favorite fight scene of the year

Several memorable scenes this year, Cap V Bucky was something really special, a highlight of the Marvel franchise so far.

Raid 2 fight in the kitchen was brutal and something really well conceived and played out. Epic fight scene.

John Wick was just brilliant from start to finish in the action department, a nice unexpected surprise, I couldnt pick one scene in that film alone over another one.

I think my vote will have to go to Quicksilver in X-Men though, a great combination of visuals and the music playing involved was something truelly different and unique. The crowd reaction to that was on a different level to anything I saw all year too, so I think that just wins a very strong category for me this year.

Great year for films in general. But especially action films. Gotta go with the TWS Freeway chase/Bucky fight. It was shot, choreographed and edited really well from beginning to end. And it had some great tension to it with the way Bucky was stalking around like a Terminator.

Wasn't an easy choice though as there was so many great sequences this year.

I'm surprised the Kitchen fight is more popular than the car chase from The Raid 2. I thought the former was very silly and didn't add anything to Asian martial arts movie fighting of the past bar a lot of blood, the car chase though was very innovative.

I also feel judging from some of these posts like I must have missed John Wick's UK release.

John Wick, for some bizzare reason, is not released in the UK until April so you havent missed it yet!

No electro power plant fight form amazing spider man 2? and no car chase form cap 2? Those where the 2 best fights of the year but out of these I have to go with cap 2 winter solider free way fight.

I voted for the the freeway fight in cap 2 but I'd put the Kyln escape from Guardians of the Galaxy, the rainy prison riot from raid 2 and the ape siege of San Francisco in Dawn of the planet of the apes up there as well.
