I guess I missed the voting...oh well, every fight scene in The Raid 2 is my favorite action sequence of 2014. Nothing comes close.

Where's the love for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes?

Its my favorite movie of the year but I think there are like at least 5 action scences form other movies that are better then the best action scence form dawn.

I'd have to go with Snowpiercer, if only because it starts with a mob of masked men baptizing their axes with fish blood. My fiance turned to me in the theater and asked "Wait...is this Korean?" Later when Chis Evans slips on the damn fish she said "Sh** just got really Korean!"

Basically my favorite theater going memory of the year.

2014 was the year in which WETA threw down the gauntlet and said "We can do anything you ever wanted. "

Visually speaking, both Apes and Godzilla were miles ahead of any of their work in the last Hobbit movie. I don't know if Jackson just doesn't give them time to work or what.

I would have gone with the prison escape from Guardians, but since it isnt on offer I'll go with Quicksilver in DOFP - that and Nightcrawler taking on the white house are the best things Singer's done in cbms...IMO of course.

Surprised nothing from GOTG, TF4, DOTPOTA and Godzilla are not to be seen in here.

Out of the ones listed, the docking scene in Interstellar was probably the one that made my jaw drop the most. Poll has closed now though so cant vote.

No, Parker Wayne did those, I just do a thread at the end of every year for the best action sequence.

It was close this year between Cap and the X-Men with Interstellar making a surprisingly strong showing.

However Cap is the 2014 action sequence Champion for the Freeway chase/Bucky fight!
