"Here's one quick little DVD news tidbit worth noting: We've heard from reliable sources that Adam West is now working on special features for the 1960s TV version of Batman. So it looks as if Fox and Warner may have finally made peace over the series' long-awaited DVD release. Fingers crossed."

Fingers crossed, indeed.

:hehe:

I will only buy the first season, the second one only "on a good day". The third one will be left untouched.

Yeah, season three was terrible overall. Only a couple of good episodes in it, like the one with the Siren. She was one of the better made for TV villains, along with King Tut.

I'll get them all for collection's sake maybe I'll enjoy season 3 if I'm stoned or something.

All you need is one episode of the TV series, they are all exactly the same.

Hope this is more than just rumor. They need a DVD release for this already.

Oh I hope this is finally it...this is one of the most overdue DVD releases IMO.

I LOVE ADAM WEST!!

But you know who's better? Cesar Romero

Dammit! I really wish the suits involved could manage to dislodge their heads from their respective orifices and work this thing out.

I'll get all three seasons. I'd pick up season three for Yvonne Craig's Batgirl.

Such a shame...

But a very smart move on Adam West's part - thinking of the fans.

id only pick up season two for the catwoman eps

You think her episodes were the only good ones in season 2? What did you dislike about season 2 in general? It had some duds, but it also had some great episodes, too, featuring Penguin, Joker, Mr Freeze, King Tut, the Clock King, Egghead, Mad Hatter, and the Green Hornet and Kato.

This is the most absurd situation ever.

I was just thinking about finally breaking down and getting one of those bootleg collections; maybe I will.

Kudos to Mr. West, however.

Does anyone know if the rights issues are also keeping it off TV? It used to be on TV Land all the time, but it hasn't been on in years.
