Adele: 19 to 25

that adele thanksgiving skit was pretty funny. she was there though, they should've thrown her in!
My thoughts exactly! They even gave themselves the perfect opportunity when everyone started gradually morphing into her! Funny skit, but missed opportunity if you ask me.

Adele's 25 has now officially sold just over 3 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen Music.

Before 25 was released, it always seemed like a sure thing that 25 would sell a million copies in its first week. But then, the question became: Could it beat Britney Spears' single-week album sales record for a female artist (Oops!…I Did It Again, with 1.32 million). After that feat seemed achievable, prognosticators started to aim much higher: Might it hit 2 million and perhaps surpass *NSYNC's thought-to-be-unbreakable record of 2.42 million (set when its No Strings Attached debuted in the week ending March 26, 2000)? It could -- and it did, two days ago.

So I listened to the album. I got it for Christmas and I love it! Love in the Dark is definitely resonating with me for some reason.

Adele's success made me wonder what happened to her old label mate and best friend Jack Peñate. Adele sings on the back track on two songs on Peñate's albums.

Jack Peñate disappeared while his friends such as Adele, Jessie Ware, Florence Welch (Florence and The Machine) and Felix White of The Maccabees have all become successful musicians in their own right.
