i've had insomnia since i was about 11-12 years old, so that's always my hardest battle

lately i've been sleeping in these weird 3-4 hours increments where i wake up wide awake and am up for like 8-12 hours before i sleep again. not a fan of this at all. i'm blaming it on the weather

Have you ever tried any type of sleeping pill?

What type of work do you do?

Im gonna see if my doc will put me on some stress pills to help me wind down. I cant remember the last time I got a good nights sleep and felt relaxed and in a good mood. Im like a ball of stress.

My off brand Unisom is a blue pill.

I've always suspected that the red pill was just a ruffi Fishburne slipped Anderson and the whole experience of "The Matrix" was an elaborate fantasy Keanu came up with to cope with the freaked out stuff that happened to him. :word:

i was put on trazadone for a while, but that actually kind of made it worse, and gave me very vivid nightmares so i stopped taking that

my main job is government retail, but seasonally i'm also a merchandiser for the bands who come to perform here at various venues, occasionally i'll do sporting events too, but rarely

Instead of upping the dosage of what I'm already on, my doctor wants me to try meditation and perhaps some form of talk therapy. Have you given either of those any thought?

The more I think about those movies, the more I hate them. Hate is a strong word. I don't hate the Matrix trilogy, I just don't care about it anymore.

I am actually quite fond of the second one despite it's flaws. The 3rd one just left a bad taste in my mouth. But the truth is that the ending of the first one is pretty much all that story needed. But once you reach the level of $ that first one did people bring out the blunt objects to pummel the Equine lifeless, ya know whut I mean?

I was on that for a bit, and all it did was give me massive headaches to the point where all I could do is lay down, and fell asleep as a byproduct.

Government Retail? I didn't know that was a thing. I've been in civilian retail for almost 9 years now, and I actually just submitted an application to work at my local concert venue for the summer to bring in extra cash.

Why is my new avatar so damn small?

Because you're a real man with nothing to prove to anyone?

I'm sure your doc will know all this, but it's best to start off on a low dose of any drug to see how your body takes it if you've never been on anything before. If your symptoms are really severe, the doc might suggest a pill to take at night for sleep (like zopiclone or trazodone) and something to keep anxiety down/calm nerves (anxiolytic/sedative-hypnotic class of drugs) during the day like clonazpem or lorazepam.

i've just deleted about 400 duplicate files from my computer. this is gonna take forever

a while back, my computer crashed and i was able to save about 70-80% of my files. only problem is, they all restored into one giant folder and most don't have their original file names, etc and there are some duplicates (rare triplicates) so on and off the past year or so i've been trying to make a small dent in the folder here and there.

all in all, about 300gb to sort -_____-

i've probably deleted about 1000 now by this point. i'm done and going to bed. goodnight all

looks like i missed 50k on my 10 year hype-anniversary by a few hundred. alas

the commissaries specifically. they're under Dept of Defense

Love Rod Serling.

Probably one of the most well-spoken men to ever live. Here's a brilliant interview from 50 years ago, but a lot of it is still relevent today. Yes, it's long, but yes it's worth it.

^That was a good vid man. Serling made me laugh though when he told Wallace that ZONE was only going to be entertainment (which it was in spades) but not tackle socio/political problems of the day. He either really truly believed that at the time, or he was telling a big fat whopper cuz he wanted as wide an audience as possible to tune in. Cuz, brother, was ZONE one of those places on TV at the time that did deal with the issues of the day.

Maybe to Serling, as brilliant and subversive as T-Zone was, it still didn't push the envelope enough for him.

Personally, I think T-Zone is one of the only shows from that era that still holds up today. Maybe not every episode, but damn are there some masterpieces in there. Nightmare at 20,000 feet, Talking Tina, Time Enough at Last, The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street, The Hitchhiker, It's a Good Life, Walking Distance, The Silence…. could go on and on. So many classic episodes. Might watch one now.
