I wonder if fans are pissed that the 1990 Cap suit is more comic book accurate than the new 2011 Cap film?
At least they get a watchable film this time around.

I love this movie, I bought it and The fantastic four(1994), Nick Fury, Generation X, Captain America 1 and 2(1979), dr. strange(1978), and Justice League of America TV Pilot(1997) from Antimatter Multiverse a few years back.

I TOTALLY bought this when it came out on Blu Ray earlier this year & love it!!!![]()
Scyfy just showed the 1990 CA last night and got me to reminisce again about the film, it's still bad but a waste of the talent they managed to gather like Ronny Cox, Ned Beatty, Darren McGavin.
It also got me to re-read Stan Lee's soapbox columns in the early 90's Marvel comics and gets me laughing how Stan was practically praising everything about this junk, saying it would surpass all expectations, etc.
)Last night, El Rey Theater presented Al Pyun's Captain America!
The last time I had seen it: 1990 or 1991!
I remember having liked it back then, and I looked forward to Cap's climactic shield throw...which decapitates the Red Skull's daughter! (That's right! Cap even goes "Heads up!")
The suit looked good for the time, though the shield's obviously foam. Matt Salinger was a good choice. He looked the part.
The movie definitely ranks as a guilty pleasure. Yes, it's schlocky, but I can watch it without hiding behind my couch in abject terror. (As with, say, Batman & Robin.)
