Why do the Xenomorphs run like kitties in the trailer?

They’re meant to be scary looking, like spiders crawling or grandma dragging herself up the stairs after I pushed her down

It sounds like it is almost taking a Left4Dead approach. That sounds fun. I am curious how the 11 different xenomorph enemies plays out.

God, I would kill for a game with the old kenner aliens in it.

Yeah, that trailer looks bad. I'll just keep playing the outstanding Alien game.

They got me all hyped for a sequel the other year and then it turned out to be a Five Nights at Freddy clone mobile game. Never gonna forget that disappointment.

Isolation was lightning in a bottle, and also like 6 years ago. Nowadays the kiddies want this type of action.

The gameplay reveal on IGN looked surprisingly promising but yeah we've all been burnt too many times by this IP to get too hyped just yet.

Animations need some work but the different classes and variety of weapons as well as alien types looks like it might be fun for a while at least, the sounds and visuals look good and seem to echo the early films as you would hope.

Hope it turns out a nice surprise like Star Wars squadrons did last year. Fingers crossed anyway...

Well if it's going to be "Left 3 Aliens", then hopefully they have additional modes like PVP so that we can play the xenomorphs.

AvP2 had a fantastic multiplayer back then.

Can't believe that at this point I just want a remaster/remake of AvP2. The PVP was amazing and the single player campaign was actually pretty good.

That would be ideal. The third AVP game was decent but nothing like AVP2 was.

I will say, watching some of the game last night, this game does look fun. There are points where the frames just drop in the middle of a "swarm", but overall, it looks pretty fun.

For a $40 game, seems decent.

It is, the classes are all really fun to play and unique and they have nailed the Alien sounds and atmosphere. The story and characters, for what little there is, is pretty forgettable but to have as a blast with a group of friends is great fun, there's a lot of hidden depth too in the class and character abilities set up to suit your play style's so there is plenty to keep you going.

The only drawbacks is that it can get a little manic too often with the sheer number of enemies thrown at you and its tough, this might be a good thing but can be a little tricky to make progress playing with randoms.

Its not re-inventing the wheel or genre here but they have kept it simple and done what they have set out to achieve for a budget title, I just wonder how long it will last with people playing, the idea is to replay missions with challenge cards for greater rewards but I'm not sure how much there is to unlock at this stage so there needs to be regular input and stuff to get to keep people coming back.

They have said they have a years worth of support planned out, with more missions being free.

Yes I heard the same and it’s even harder doing it Solo. But the sound of the pulse rifles just hypnotises me so it was always gonna be mine at some point.

This is a big reason I passed on it. I get coop and mmo's are popular but I have burned out on them and it disappointed me we have not had a good Alien game since Isolation.

I am the same I only do single player. But you can play this solo apparently and more missions have been added via DLC so that was the only reason I finally got it.
