Under what’s called the “constituents’ request program,” constituents (voters) are eligible to receive certain “nationhood material.” Most of this pertains to assorted Australiana—flags, recordings of the National Anthem, and the like—but it also includes a portrait of Her Majesty. And all you have to do to get one is email your federal MP.

Yeah,I've seen my local Federal member's Facebook page say you can request an Australian Flag and they will supply one at no charge.

You can apply to get a free birthday or anniversary message from the Queen if your a British national. People celebrating their centenary birthday get a card from the Queen all the time over here.

Just an update on this, my MP, a republican, says I can get a photo if I got a pub with him and his staff and he might even chuck in a photo of Beyoncé. That’s not a joke, that’s literally the email I got so that’s something.

I think he wants to talk my ear off about why I should vote for him. I hope so because the alternative is a bit grotty and I’m not that type of lady

It used to be automatic that centenarians got a letter from the Queen but then when life expetancy went up dramatically they made it available on request only.
