She's also heavier than she looks, because she looks only slightly larger than a toy poodle, but weighs about 3 times as much.

We have a 13 year old Pomeranian who thinks he's a Rottweiler named Paris (after the city, not the skank). My wife's had him since he was 6 weeks old. I used to really dislike yappy "kick dogs", but he's kind of grown on me. He's a smart little guy and has a pretty huge vocabulary that he understands in both English as well as in Spanish. For an old dog with a host of health problems, he's still pretty active and spry. We almost lost him last year to some gallbladder issues, but he's got some good meds and we keep him on glucosamine for his bad hips and he's still cranking along. We've known we're on borrowed time with him since last summer, so as long as he wants to keep going at it we'll be happy to have him around. My 14 lb. ocelot-cat likes having someone around to slap about and give grief to, anyway.
