Don't mean to reign on your whole worship thing, but wouldn't God prove to be unmerciful because he gave the kid the eye cancer when he was 2 to begin with? Sounds more like God took something away from this kid, and the kid said **** it I don't need it. Not the other way around.

So I actually MET someone with real life super powers today. A freind of mine revealed that his father and some of his siblings can give people aches anywere in the body. They can even move all the pain in one place and spread it throughout the body and vice-versa.
