I'm not really interested in the tragic backstory of Arthur or his relationship with his sister. This isn't what I want from The Tick.

I'm gonna watch this soon, but I really really enjoyed Jean Claude Van Johnson

JCVJ is the better of the two shows in my opinion. I really did not enjoy The Tick.

Yes, though so far The Tick has been rated favorably and has received positive feedback. Still, it doesn't seem that there is a clear determination method for picking a pilot. I mean, Transparent was picked up despite having few user reviews and low viewer ratings.

neither do I... the concept of the Tick is supposed to be complete absurdity... I could care less about Arthur's troubled past nor if the Tick is some looney-tune who busted his way out of the nuthouse, picked up a costume on the way and became the blowhard that he is... the Tick is supposed to be fun and be good for laughs... and THIS version ain't it... I want my Tick to be outrageous in an absurd world, not some lone wolf nutcase in a dark and grim world...

Awesome sauce, now I'm wondering if the Tick is real or not. Arthur could be bat**** insane and took those criminals out himself.

There was a scene of the Tick spying on thugs while Arthur was on another place with Dot.

Though I could see Arthur being the only one that thinks the Tick is a hallucination of his.

Alternatively, they could've met in a mental hospital. In the comics, the Tick is an escapee from one.

New costume. I actually liked the weird organic texture of the first one, but this is a clear improvement overall.

Have to see it from a different angle given the first suit looked off from that initial pic, but worked fine enough in the pilot.
His arms and legs got...skinnier...

nope... the first outfit didn't grab me and this second one isn't doing **** for me, either... I'm VERY disappointed that they just can't get it right...

and you're right... he IS a skinny pencil-neck... totally the wrong person, physically, to play the Tick... too bad they couldn't get Warburton... I wonder if he was offered the part... as far as I know, his career isn't exactly skyrocketing with any other project that would keep him from this...

I like the new costume a bit better. I am still not sold on the actor or the direction that Amazon has taken this show. I am sure I will check this out at some point once it starts streaming. But I can't say that I am excited or in any rush.

Continuing from the pilot I think. The original costume will appear, presumably in the first episode.

He's a producer on this series and also on A Series of Unfortunate Events as Lemony Snicket.

It doesn't work in motion.
I might get used to it as I was surprised how fast I got used to the pilot ep's suit.
The proportions and materials couldn't possibly be more disjointed in this latest suit.

Yeah, the suit has its problems but it looks 1,000 times better than that papier-mâché piece of blue toilet paper they had him wrapped in for the pilot. Regardless of the suit though, this looks hilarious. Serafinowicz really seems to have the Tick character down. the rest of it looks so-so, but he had me cracking up while watching the trailer.


Also, Valerie Curry. Yeah, I'm watching this.
