I'm not sure where it could go from here, at least for Bohannon and the Durants.

Durant basically ended up being bankrupt the Mobilier scandal, but Bohannon has a lot more places to go since he's basically running the show. I think it will be interesting to see what will become of him and his revenge if he ends up in charge of the RR. Plus, there's Elam and Eva and the Irish brothers and Ruth.

I sure hope there's a third season. Watching Bohannon try to run the railroad will be really interesting. Introduce a new villain, there's room for new characters. And Durant can always continue to influence the show, he's a cunning fellow and only in jail after all. Heck, maybe Durant can be the big villain, trying to reclaim what's his.

I'm....not sure how I feel about the ending. I loved some parts and wasn't so keen on others.

I REALLY wanted to see the visual of the Swede hanging from the bridge. It would've just been so fitting for this season, with such a big focus on the bridge.

I do hope they get a 3rd season, but mostly out of curiosity to see where they go. Lily served her purpose in making the rail road personal for Bohannon, but the story has never been about the railroad. There is still one last person that murdered his wife for Cullen to kill, right? Maybe they'll pick that back up.

Aside from the revenge aspect, Cullen is sort of like Grenville Dodge, who was very instrumental in building the railroad.

We don't know jack about Cullen and his background, so I'd like to see more. Again, Lily was not that important in the scheme of things. I WANT a third season.

Omg I just saw the season finale...wtf was that. I can't believe they killed her off...wow this episode was dark...damn Swede was unleashed too

Good season. They've completely swept Bohannan revenge ploy under the rug from last season.

I didn't like Lily last season, but she grew on me. Sad to see her go. Also Mr.Toole grew on me this season too.

Next season should be interesting. I suspect we see more of Mr.Durant and his wife trying to undermine Bohannan.

It hasn't been canceled or renewed but given the cancellation of The Killing, Breaking Bad ending in 2013 and Mad Men in 2014 I would have to think AMC keeps it around for a third season to fill 9-10 weeks of programing.

AMC will likely have 8 weeks of Breaking Bad, 9 weeks of Hell on Wheels followed by 8 weeks of The Walking Dead next year and will launch 1 or 2 new dramas next year.

Riding out the storm, I did a Hell on Wheels Season 2 marathon. It was a pretty good season. I was surprised by the ending and I wonder where the show will go from here.

I do think HoW erred in not wrapping up Bohannon's revenge storyline in season 1. I think they need to wrap that up. It doesn't make sense that he will let that go, even if life continues to get in the way of it.

As for the rest of season 2, it definitely went in some places I wasn't expecting. Especially with Lily. Mrs. Durant was a good addition to the show, and she helped transition Durant from merely fun evil to irredeemable evil.

Still not sold on Bohannon ending up in charge of the railroad. I don't get what is so special about him and never have. However he's the main character so I just go with it. I find many of the other characters more interesting.

It will take a few weeks and they'll find a showrunner. They'll probably come with a current CBS drama on their resume. AMC can't keep on canceling shows, it has a loyal fanbase and the numbers work where this show could go for another 3 seasons and be sold into syndication.

It was a real final dick move of beauty, none the less I'd be totally okay with it if it turns out he survived (although I seriously doubt it).[/BLACKOUT]

I don't understand why folks were so interested in Cullen and Lily hooking up. IMO, she was just using him and didn't really have any true interest in him as a person. Me and Hunter had a pretty good debate about this a while back...lol. We agreed to disagree.

Anyway, I'm stoked for the new season. I really want them to return to the revenge plot and I'd like to see Cullen in charge. I also want to find out how Eva is fairing without being married to O'Toole.

I know what you mean, hopefully they do a spot of retconning, otherwise they'll just write in another woman and cheapen everything that went before.
