Lets say the US invades IRAN in a years time.
Any idea what China might do?
Hmmm..I mean if the competition just goes ahead and raids every country it wants and you kinda don't agree with that. Especially if those countries mean something to your economy.

China might one day wake up and say..yo..lets invade too.
And it's not like the US will actually attack China.

I've said this a million times but the media doesn't "paint" anything. They just report the news, even if it isn't positive. That's thier job. The media is a watchdog of government. Do more negative stories get published? Maybe, but that's the world we live in. Would I like to read positive stories? Yes, but not at the expense of telling the truth, even in the truth is a hard truth. And it's not like there's no positive stories being published. You just have to look at little harder. Should it be that way, I don't know. But that's how it is.

Yes, the media reports things that really happened (most of the time), but the "painting" comes in on what they decide to pursue, what they decide to broadcast/print, what they decide to withhold....it really, totally does, man.

The Macneil/Lehrer New Hour and Fox News can report the exact same story, report the same facts, and still, you're going to see 2 different "paintings".

I am so scared living in this country today, not because of other nations terrorists.
The American government is creating their very own home grown terrorists.

It pains me to live in this country and read whats going on. Im suprised everyone hasnt had a party conveniently forgetting americas invite to discuss amongst themselves what to do with us.

Hopefully they have already but hopefully they will wait until atleast the next presidential election to act and hopefully it wont be too late for everyone and hopefully the election will be fair and without "out of the ordinary incidents" attached to it like the last two.

And if all my hopes come to pass hopefully we can regain some kind of comradery with everyone else that wont continue this sad 'spoiled child under god' movement crap that has diminished the true love I have for this country that allows me to walk two blocks and be submerged in a completely different culture than the last two blocks and love every minute of it.

And hopefully I wont have to justify what ive said in this post, backing it all up with facts, because these are just my hopefullys....with Liberty and Justice for all.

but think how it is for most muslims and arabs who live in the states now, as well. i'm not getting a lot of it but when i hear some of them talk about their experiences since 9/11 it just scares me sometimes.

I could not even condescend to believing I know what it is like for muslim and arab americans right now. I cant imagine what it must feel like to be living in our country when such a high percentage of the people believe everything the media spins on.:heart:

I mean in the UK our Home Secretary told UK muslim parents to keep an eye on their kids to make sure they aren't involved with any terrorism acitivites or joining any radical groups. essentially the message was "spy on your kids for us"

I'm not Muslim, but if I was could you blame me for being pissed at this!? I mean they aint telling parents to look out for their kids being rapists or murderers or paedophiles but you know they gotta look out for those terrorists.
