Now, I will say this from the outset, I hate amusement park rides, I'm no good with them at all, I'm the perfect person to take in order to have someone look after the bags whilst everyone else goes on the largest roller-coaster to make them sick.

However, I thought it may be fun to gage others experiences, what's the scariest, longest, most frightening you've been on, or post the rides themselves from around the world.

For example, this you tube short shows a young boy experiencing pretty much what I'd be like on this ride, just watching it makes my stomach turn.

and this is pretty much my idea of hell....Given I am terrified of heights and am claustrophobic, this combines both.

TITAN...at Six Flags over Texas. The only coaster on which I've ever blacked out.

Busch Gardens in Florida had good rides. I went a long time ago though.

Was it number 4 that was Colossus (in England)? I've been on that a few months ago, and I can assure anyone here that there are much better rollercoasters in England than Colossus - as enjoyable as Colossus actually is.

I never used to remotely like amusement parks; before this year, it has to of been a good 15-20 years since I last went to one, and the last time I went I was scared to death of them (after kinda' being persuaded to try a rather tame one).

This year, I've been to both Thorpe Park and Alton Towers, and I went on every Rollercoaster at both parks (with the exception of one at Thorpe because I was feeling a little queasy). I now love them, but I still get butterflies when queuing up; that's probably the worst part about these rides - the queues.

Once you're on the move, it's great fun, but of course you have to have a certain thrill seeking ambition else you're just not going to enjoy it.

Been a while for me, too. I love a good steel coaster with ski lift type chairs and shoulder harness. I'm too old for that now, my old bones can't take being slammed around so much anymore.
