Android MP3 Player

So, I bought a Samsung Galaxy 5 MP3 player (not a phone) And I was wondering...how do I update the firmware? I know with the Ipod I used to have I just plugged it into Itunes and it downloaded the newest version...but I don't have a program that does that for Android....

any ideas?
