Good. The second episode was as good as the first.

Oh yeah I liked the second episode as well. The score is very interesting and I like knowing the characters more and the mystery of Lasher also dat ending was crazy and unexpected. Glad the ratings were great for the first episode and hope it continues.Good. The second episode was as good as the first.![]()
Yeah, I suspect Lasher :I liked these first two episodes, though I’m cautious with this show. The books are fairly…insane and I’m kind of doubting that they’ll go all in with that. But I’m really liking what they’re doing with Lasher.
Yeah I am really liking the series so far but it is definitely a slow burn. Glad you’re gonna give it another chance. This weekend I'm going to have to give this one another go with fresh eyes. Won't lie, but I was a little bored with the first episode, but again I want to try it again with a rewatch.
Yeah, if they said that then that's disappointing. Unless they make Ciprian...I think the showrunner/producers have actually come out and said that Michael and Aaron’s roles are going to be amalgamated into this new character.
I’m giving the show a chance, but I’m very cautious that they might miss the mark with the adaptation process.
Watching this newest episode, I noticed they teased at least one crazy element of the books.
Rowan pushing back on having children. Definitely seems like they’re setting up the whole thing with Lasher “coming through” and potentially Rowan’s daughter Emaleth.
From what I remember wasn’t the dadprobably, but I'm guessing it'll be Cip as the dad as Curry isn't even in the picture.

Lasher?
Lasher possessed Curry I believe during the conception so ...kinda? If I recall correctly Lasher jumped into the body of the child, which being Taltos grew quickly, but then once in the flesh Lasher was killed. I could however be confusing when Curry had sex with another witch and a female Taltos was born. It's been a while since I've read all the books through, at least 10 years or so.
I went through and brushed up on the whole saga.
Rowan got pregnant via Michael, and then Lasher tricked her and possessed the baby to be reborn, then raped Rowan to try and recreate the Taltos race. Which created their daughter Emaleth, who dies at the end of the second novel.
Michael also gets seduced by Rowan’s cousin, who gets pregnant with a Taltos daughter and gives birth in the third novel. And that child ends up running off with Ashlar at the end of the book, to presumably restart the Taltos race somewhere in peace.
Hell of a family tree![]()
Good because I’ve been really enjoying this series so far.
Well at least the showrunners gave a reason for the change. I haven’t read the books so I guess that allows me to take the series as it is and enjoy it more. I am disappointed that some of you aren’t enjoying the changes but I’ve been there as well with certain adaptations I love so I get it.
Like I said I'm planning a binge later in the hopes that when seen in a block, those changes will be less burdensome to me.Well at least the showrunners gave a reason for the change.
