I thought the Wayans were involved in some Scary Movie spinoff at one point but mixed it up with A Haunted House which was a spoof of those found footage Paranormal Activity movies.

How did that turn out? Probably not well, but they made two of them now that I just googled it lol

Scary Movie 5 came out around the same time as A Haunted House and it also parodied Paranormal Activity. I haven't seen either of them but I know I'm not missing anything.

One of the best days I can remember was my 14th birthday. I had my entire group of friends come home and I had a region 1 DVD of Scary Movie (it wasn't available in my country at the time) and we laughed our a***** off. We were dying, it was one of the best nights ever. Great times.

I was ten years old and saw Scary Movie at the theater with my older cousins… had no business watching it that young but we laughed our asses off too.

This is why I need them to dig deep and give us that magic again.

I had the same experience with Scary Movie 3. I wasn't a big fan of 2 so I went with a couple of friends to see the third one but I went with a "ok fine I guess, show me what you got, movie". And it won me over in the first 30 seconds. It had that ZAZ touch, it was just a hoot. That's probably the time I laughed the most in a movie theater (the "let's see that again" with the alien hidden in the backgrounds... Jesus Christ my friends couldn't control me).

I can't post it due to language, but Marlon Wayans and Regina Hall reacted to their old roles including Scary Movie for Vanity Fair. Regina revealed that a lot of the Brenda at the movies was ad-libbed.

Those movies are very much a guilty pleasure of mine

They always parody the way dogs tend to die in horror movies, and it's crazy as hell every time.
