Any new word on those DC Animated DTV movies?

Cooke said his is going well, and The doomsdayvs superman thing. Has action figures.

I was sad to hear Timm say that it's meant to be a "stand alone" movie, outside of the existing DCAU, :(

It's better that way. This is the greatest idea WB and DC have ever had regarding adapting their properties. Straight, direct translations of graphic novels.

Most of these wouldn't fit in the DCAU anyways. How the hell would they fit New Frontier into the DCAU at all?

This is gonna be great. I cant wait for The Dark Knight Returns and Kingdom Come. Hopefully they'll put out some Loeb/Sale books too.

I think DoS would have been able to fit in the DCAU. Just like it did in the comics.

when ever i hear about this i start making a mental list of Arc's and miniseries i want made into animation..
.. scary part is that at the moment.. i can only think of 3...

I hope NF doesn't drop the John Henry storyline.

new frontier is DEFINITELY happening along with death of superman. I'm hoping that they treat us with alot of these over the next couple of years in place of taking the good DC cartoon shows off of TV. *coughDCAUcough*
The only problem with this is that i could do lists and lists of ones i want to see made... hell here are five off the top of my head;

kingdom come
dark knight returns
golden age
superman: red son
jla year one

"Superman: Red Son" would be awesome. Maybe "Birthright" too. There are so many great TPBs and GNs that would make great animated movies.

Batman: Hush would be a good one. And who wouldn't want a movie of "The Killing Joke".

I know a Green Lantern one was mentioned as being in "possible development".

As disappointed as I was that JLU was cancelled, these three DTV projects are so much more exciting than more JLU episodes. Can't wait.

I would KILL for a Red Son DTV.

Or Batman and the Monster Men...mmmmm. :o

three? there might only be 3 for now but there is a LOT more coming..

Did anyone know why JLU was cancelled???
They never said why, but we pretty much understand why. Its cheaper to just buy anime and redub it then make a whole show from the groundup. Also its cheaper to make shows with way way cheaper animation like billy and mandy.
