Comics Anyone attending ComicCon in NYC this weekend?

I'm going. I got a weekend ticket so I'll be there all three days.

I'd be interested in knowing if it's a smaller turn out, considering the economy and all.

I'll have a table up there, so feel free to stop by and plunder through my merchandise! I don't have our table #, I'll have to look it up!

Highburn Studios.

Good luck buddy.

Any person who attends and pelts shin with deli meats gets ten cool points, twenty if the deli meat is exotic.

I'll be there all weekend, open to close. I'm not exactly at a table as I'm too ADD to sit still, but I'll be there as part of the Comicbook Artists Guild. I'm also on a panel about Webcomics Friday night, involved with several of the pro panels over the weekend, and will be part of the 2nd Annual CAG awards at the close of show on Friday. So everyone feel free to come on by to that.

Also, Saturday night after show close, CAG is hosting the 4th Annual Indy After Party at Blaggards Pub, 8 W 38th Street. We'll have comic art and raffles, as well as entertainment by the lead singer of ToolFist. Come on by and party with us!

Tables of note:
CAG: 2359
Shawnti Therrien & Liz Ortiz: L5
Everett Soares: L6
Hector Rodriguez: L8

And Highburn is at 2475

We have anime conventions here only; I wish I was finished with my degree so I can take that year long vacation I always wanted.

Nuts.... I just moved back to CA......
always next year...

I'm blessed with a friend in Jersey. We're going on Saturday or Sunday. My first ComicCon!

Well, I just made it here...I look forward to throwing exotic deli meats at shin.

Im expecting a FULL REPORT on any and all Spidey related items from you guys on my desk by first thing Monday morning! :word:

From the "Dark Reign" panel, i found THIS quite interesting:

Will there be a huge battle between Osborn as "the head of the Marvel Universe" and Spider-Man? "Oh no, completely out of the question," Brevoort joked

Sounds like Spidey will be the guy who finally takes that maniac down. :word:

I doubt he'll be the one that takes Norman down. I really doubt it.

I can see him being a major factor in throwing Norman out of power when the time comes though.

Announced today:

Dark Reign: Anti-Venom

Dark Reign: Mr. Negative

One shots tying into the current Marvel Event.

Aloha,
Much thanks Capt. As a former New Yorker, ComicCon is one of the few things that I can say I missed by moving to Hawaii. Oh well, I'll also be waiting for a full report on ALL THINGS SPIDEY on Monday. Have a great time and much success to all.

yeah, i went in 2007 and had a blast!

And a bit more:

"Amazing Spider-Man: The Short Halloween, drawn by Kevin Maguire, was announced, as were its two writers, who made a "surprise" appearance at the panel: Saturday Night Live cast members Seth Meyers (also its head writer) and Bill Hader. Meyers explained that Marvel approached them during the writers' strike.

Meyers credited Hader for coming up with the title, adding "This [a comic book convention] is the only place where that would get a laugh."
