Apple's New Ipod Nano Touch

So they make the Nano even smaller, take away the video playback and camera, and they give it a touch screen? WTF? Sounds like a step backwards to me.

Personally I hate all Nano products. I'd hate to spend 100+ dollars I could lose so easily.

My Nano from last year works just fine, besides if I did want to get another one I'd just get the Touch.

I like how drastic the redesign of the ipod nano was, although i think the screen shouldve been a tad bigger, playing around with it since it came out i have to say its quite easy to use. I think what apple will get a lot of is complaints from users saying why did you take everything but the music out? And i think apple should respond the way they did with the ipod shuffle, they went back to what the fans wanted. I think with a small touch screen like that on the nano you could still have games, and now that it has a touch screen it would be much more interactive, so games like shooter games or anything wouldnt work but simple games would, i would imagine apple would include this and possible video options as well either next year or in a update

This is seriously a downgrade from the 5th generation. No camera, no video, no games
They should of just called it nano-lite

A downgrade? I dont think that at all, why would you need a camera on a mp3 anyway? What i like is that apple really went back to the root of the ipod which is a mp3 player for the nano, and then upgraded the touch because thats considered the iphone without the phone and has more demand. Yes it lost video playback and the games, and i think thats to be expected when this is really such a small first of its kind as its a small touchscreen mp3, apple usually works out the kinks when it comes to something as different as this version of the nano. I do think next september we will see the nano's screen get a tad bigger and have its default games (optimized for the small touchscreen) and video playback, always there are rumors of a youtube app on next years version as well. So imo i think this can be a solid ipod nano, theres was never a need for a camera, and a bad one at that. This is apples way of testing the new touchscreen nano with consumers, and what they need to add and fix, clearly alot of people want video playback and some touchscreen optimized games, and then there are people that like thats its just a mp3 player at its core. Expect some slight changes and addons next year
