O no... What have they done?! This is not in the regular book, is it?

I don't want to see how they translate Jughead and Mr. Merryweather to a more realistic style.:(

I'm honestly quite apathetic. I never really liked Archie. It's not that I'm against non action comics. Quite the contrairy. I just never found it very funny or otherwise interesting.

What the hell is Wonder Girl doing on the cover of Betty and Veronica.

It's funny how they say they're going for a "more realistic style," then post a picture of interior artwork where Betty and Veronica's heads are at least two times as big as they should be. I like how their realistic depiction of Archie's hair still includes the crosshatching on his temples, too. :)

Either way, it doesn't really bother me. I haven't read Archie's comics in a long time and, even if I did, all that'd really matter in the long run is whether Jughead still has his crown.

At least

It's not

Anime.

This may be an attempt to see how the live action Archie movie would look, as it's been in development hell for a while. I've been a fan of the digests for years, and I still buy them if I'm standing in line at the grocery store and see one...not the Betty and Veronica, but the Jughead Jones one, that's the one for real men. :o

1. Archie is supposed to look like a complete doofus, not the love child of the world's biggest doofus and the world's coolest person.

2. Betty and Veronica lose a lot of their hawtness over this new style.

This makes me cry even more than the Superman Forums. :(

As someone who used to read Archie as a kid, I'm not feeling the style. It just doesn't match up well with the cartoon goofiness of the book. :-/

That's probably gone out the window as well, in favor of some more 'realistic' scenarios.

I cant belive this has been done,i also agree that it feels..wrong.Im also a old Archie reader, and this..just is bad.

This is the only Betty and Veronica I know and and love.:o

Though there was an artist for Playboy that drew Betty in this interpretation.:o

I'm not a reader but that's rather stupid and pointless. The style is part of the identity of the comic.

Imagine if you tuned into something like the Simpsons one week and they had decided to change the style to make it more realistic.
