Are DVD/Blu-Ray special features getting worse?

I absolutely hate that Bluray/DVD/Digital combo packs are slowly dying out. Absolutely hate it.

Ive got family who still like to use portable dvd players to save electricity so when Thor 2 and The Raid 2 didn't have dvds in them we were not happy so i see what you mean.

Thor 2 didn't have a combo pack? That's really surprising to me.

I was annoyed with Man of Steel for not having a director's commentary.

Lately i'm seeing alot of combo packs consisting of just the bluray, the 3D bluray, and digital copy. I heard Cap 2 won't have a dvd in it either.

Hm, interesting. I wonder if that's going to become a Dsiney thing from now on. Iron Man 3 had a DVD in it's combo packs.

Back in the day, I remember I was the only one renting the 'Disc 2' of most dvd's because I always liked knowing the backstage, the 'kitchen' of a film.
The extras are definetely not what they used to be. Some dvd's were packed with good stuff. (I can't talk about Blu Ray because I don't own a player. In fact, I've never seen a movie in Blu Ray, believe it or not).
