Are there any other artists -

That's the least of Leifields crimes, and the only one Jones doesnt commit.

Leifield is a no-talent hack. Kelley Jones is awesome.

What about Alex Toth? I think that Mazzuchelli was influenced (or vise versa) by his style seeing that there are similarities from both. It's sort of a minimalist realism for its time...

That's awful, the only thing that saves it at all is that the colorist made it so dark you cant see the terrible line work.

i can only revognize one part of batman's body... the head
Miller, Tim Sale and Mazzuchelli are my top favorite artists, im not really a fan of the average looking muscle comics

i am not a fan of alex ross, there's something about it that just say's... lame. plus i always imagine Batman as a dark badass person, not some man in a 60's style cloth suit

The problem with Ross' artwork is that all his heroes are barrel chested, and all his women have man-face. The only exception to the later rule seems to be Harley Quinn. The guy draws a bad ass Joker and Harley Quinn.

I don't know; Kelly Jones was okay with the whole gothic look...

I thought that I was the only one who noticed this. His Wonder Woman facially looks like she is having a gender crisis. Not soft enough on the features...

By "push the limits" do you mean "draw worse than an 8 year old?"

Oh, Ock. I expected better from you.

Just because Kelly Jones has an exaggerrated style most of the time doesn't mean it's bad art. A bizzarre style does not = bad.

And if you'd look at as much of his art as you can get your hands on, he can do very normal art. He just chooses to be bizzarre and otherworldly because that's his prefurred style, and in the case of things like the Vampire trilogy, that's what the story calls for in an art style.

Eh, Kelley Jones is a mixed bag for me.

This -

OH My Gawd, WTF is that!?!

He really needs to get his chest checked out:dry:
yeah, i'm just kidding, i realize that's his leg

I agree competly with this statement. In comics an artist is of course expected to be able to draw which this man is doing but more importantly he must have a good sence of story telling which I will say he does have.

So he's hitting everything, maybe not the best but or to alot of peoples liking but thats more to do with style.

Liefled is a whole other story.....

That's awful.

That's awesome. I understand that Kelley Jones's art is not geared to everyone's taste. I'm glad he doesn't pander to the typical super-hero comic audience. Kelley Jones captures Batman's dark and mysterious side.

Nail on head!

Holy ****, Batman DKR just ***** slapped Rorsch!!!

WHAT'S THIS FROM?

That's really cool. Is WW also supposed to be a communist?

No, the Wonder Woman in that picture is a Wonder Woman from the Victorian-era 19th Century on Earth-34. She first appeared in Wonder Woman: Amazonia - a 1997 prestige format one-shot written by William Messner-Loebs.

You know what's worse? What Rorscach's reaction would likely be.
*Shudders*

^I see...interesting.

I just noticed how many elseworlds batman's (batmen?) there are. Love the Terry McGuiness Batman Beyond in the background.
