Why does posting in the diner not count towards ones post count?

Some people who post in the community think they are above playing the diner type games and wanted them completely deleted. I personally believe the diner games offer another way to communicate besides just boring repetitive discussions. I say each to their own but they don't; so in order to keep the games at all in the Hype I asked to at least leave them in with no post count because the ones who wanted them gone said the new members used them to build up post counts (which some did). In the end, Hunter allowed the diner to be made with no post counts and the games were and are allowed to stay. I still feel some of the diner threads when they were in the community made the community much more interesting and allowed a variety of people to post in the community not just the little click (my opinion only)

Not really since it was extremely informative. I tend to lurk mostly and realized pretty quickly that my kind of humor would probably end in my being deemed a troll. Fortunately I found the diner which seems to invite humorous responses to preposterous setups... just my style. Avatars be damned, I like it here.
