Minecraft was never dethroned at the top of the domestic charts?

If they recast Sam Worthington at one point, would anyone notice? :o

The feeling isn’t mutual James Wan lol

I’ve spent thousands of hours underwater. I’m very literal about my underwater. It needs to look like it’s real. And while I can enjoy that film I don’t resonate with it because it doesn’t look real."

If Cameron doesn't direct 4 and 5 then whoever does will be on a tight leash since he'd be heavily involved. He's already written them anyway.

Also if you'd get someone else to help I feel you'd get someone to help with the writing because it's not the directing or the visuals that's lacking. The Avatar movies visually look miles better than any MCU or Star Wars movie you'd think there's a decade of evolution between them. It's in the writing department certain things could improve. (like making Fire and Ash unique and not doing the last 45 minutes of Way of Water again for its climax)

Basically an Alita situation with Robert Rodriguez.

Though if Kathryn Bigelow were to sign on, I wouldn’t be mad. Strange Days is like her R-rated Neo noir version of Avatar anyway lol

I hope Cameron comes back. The problem is these movies are so time consuming. It'll take another eight years to make two more.

Finally saw this and personally I loved it. There were similarities to the first movies yes. But I thought there were enough differences to make Fire and Ash stand on its own. Varang and her clan brought a different dynamic. I thought Chaplin and Saldana stole the show myself. Both were great.

Lang pretty much is Quaritch at this point, and I actually thought Worthington put in a decent job here. Jake had a couple of moral quandaries that Worthington handled well I thought.

The finale was a mix of the first and 2nd movies finale's, but I thought it blended them well. And the extra Tulkan and the addition of the magnetic flux really added a new dynamic to the finale. We finally got to see a character only spoke about previously also.

Even the kids stepped it up here. And there were a few surprising side character deaths. Neytayim and even characters who died in the first movie weren't forgotten here either. 8/10.

I don't mind a break for a few years, but I definitely want more Avatar at some point.
