I can't believe how much Gold I wasted trying to get Magneto. After completing all of the lockbox sidequests and purchasing another 56 lockboxes, I'm still stuck on 7 covers...

At least Captain Britain is awesome. I wonder when we're going to get Wonderman?

Sorry to hear that. Even though I got Magneto (very lucky, I know), I think this lock box system is extremely flawed, and I hate the way it was implemented. I won't have minded if they charge 20 gold a cover, so you can just spend the gold to get the last cover you need. I really hope they will make the changes for the next lock box hero, because I can see gamers boycotting it if they continue this feature the way it is.

Sorry to hear that, StreetWarrior. I realize i got really, really lucky this time and spent no gold getting him. My issues were with the two heroes i had to get (DP and Tigra) in order to get Havok.

I'm thinking new chapter, SO news, or possible new heroes/alternate suits. I wouldn't be surprised if they release alts for IM and WM, considering IM3 is around the corner.

Man, they really want to sucker people into getting Mockingbird, dont they? lol

They need to really do something for Nightcrawler. Now that they fixed Wolverine (i'm leveling him up and man does he rock with his new uniform!) they should upgrade some of the others. I do think yeah, something's comign for IM because of the movie.

I like the lockbox system. The biggest problem is that it was Magneto. He's possibly one of the top five most popular characters in all of Marvel, and this made him difficult to get. If Magneto was the Spec Ops hero and Havok in the box, I don't think there would have been as many complaints. The perfectionists would still complain, but they would be a lot fewer in number.

I really wish I hadn't spent 30+ lockboxes that I still had after getting Magneto. They would really come in handy whenever the next lockbox hero is ready for release.

Well apparently lockboxes will be a part of the next SO. They added that to the roulette today and i got 3. So i guess i've already started collecting them beforehand, hope that helps lol.

Playdom released an anniversary gift on their FB page. I'm not sure if I'll ever equip it but it does have a pretty good PVP bonus.

I don't think they will be. The way they appear on the Collection Screen it looks like there are slots for different types of lock boxes. Presumably a different kind for each character.

A producer for the game said on Twitter that there won't be a lockbox hero available during the next SO7. Lockboxes will be awarded/earned in a different way for the next collection. Probably means getting Ant-Man/Giant-Man and Vision at the same time won't happen.

If it's happening this week, then probably like Thursday or Friday. If not, then probably next Monday or Tuesday.

Just saw that. As usual, i'll wait a bit before starting so that they put together the SO guide. I like optimizing my isos.

I do the same. Haven't collected any gifts as well.

Also, they made some changes to Hawkeye, giving him a couple new passives. Not exactly a world-beater now, but a mini-upgrade that was needed. Plus, the lockbox collections won't be around until SO8 (found out by mousing over the next collection slot.)
