Babette's Feast remake

This is one of my favorite movies and I was incredibly disheartened to hear that Hollywood has put it in its remake machine, courtesy of director Alexander Payne.

If anyone should remake Babette's Feast, it should be with the perspective of a female director. Not a director failing upwards.

Meh, mapping a movie from one country to another can be done well, e.g., The Departed. Alexander Payne is a bit of a mixed bag as a director, he's maybe one singing-animal movie away from being Tom Hooper, but he might hit the target on this one.
